Often combined with crown thinning. We can reduce the height and spread of the crown maintaining an aesthetically pleasing shape.
We can completely remove trees using various methods of controlled dismantlement and felling in any urban or rural space. It can be felled to ground level and the stumps poisoned or ground out.
Using our stump grinding machine we can take a stump down below ground level (approx. 30cm). If the stump is in a lawn we can returf it.
An effective method of tree management. The tree is pruned back to the same growth points regularly which restricts crown size and allows easy regular maintenance.
This involves the removal of lower branches allowing more space and light beneath the tree.
Gives the tree an even foliage density and allows light to penetrate the canopy. We can remove some of the live growth throughout the crown as well as dead, broken, crossing and rubbing branches.
We do a lot of work involving the maintenance of all aspects of plants in gardens. From weeding and mulching garden beds, to the shaping and trimming of hedges and shrubs both big and small.
Logs / Firewood
Our quality hardwoods are left to season, eventually being split into logs for household fires (either open fires or wood burning stoves).

Frequently Asked Questions
While its true to say that most trees are best pruned after leaf fall this is not the case with all species. The best thing to do is give us a call and we can discuss your particular trees’ needs.
Of course! We can chip the wood for you to use in your garden or cut it up into lengths for seasoning. Please talk to us about the options when we come to give you a quote.
While we may get a sense of the work needed its best to have a site visit so we can see the tree in situ and the access points.
A TPO is a Tree Preservation order. If you live in a conservation area you may have a TPO on your trees. This means you will have to apply to the local borough council before carrying out any works on the tree.
You can find out here if your tree have a Tree Preservation Order on it. Its always best to check as carrying out works without permission can mean up to a £20,000 fine!
You can apply for permission to carry out works to trees with TPOs. It is best to consult an arboriculturist before applying so you can specify the exact nature of the works you intend to carry out. If you engage our services this is something we can do for you. 🙂
